I recently tried out MeeYou, a dating site that promised to be different from the rest. Unfortunately, I wasn’t too impressed with what it had to offer in terms of user profiles. To start off with, all of the profiles are public and anyone can view them – not exactly ideal for those looking for privacy! Plus there’s no way you can set up a custom bio either so if you’re someone who likes expressing themselves through words then this isn’t going to work out very well for you.
The location info is also pretty basic; each profile just has one city listed as their current residence which means there’s no indication of how far away they might actually be from where you live (not great news if distance matters). On top of that, there doesn’t seem to be any option available on the site allowing users hide or change their location information – another big minus point in my book!
Speaking about premium subscriptions…there really aren’t many benefits at all when it comes down to your profile page itself apart from being able access more features within other parts of the website such as messaging etc., but nothing particularly exciting here unfortunately.
